Cross Country Results
The uneven age event was held in Tralee Racecourse last Sunday and the club picked up two individual medals from Eoghan McElligott in 4th place and Dara Lowth in 6th place.Both boys will now represent Munster in the National championships in Derry on December 6th.For good measure both boys were on the Kerry team who won gold and will also represent Kerry in Derry.
Others who performed well on the day in the very wet and muddy conditions included Fiachra Ennis and Seamus Leen who brought the club boys u11 team home in a close 4th place;Daragh Courtney in the boys u9,David Hogan in the boys u17 and Stephen Walsh in the boys u19.Well done to everyone who competed.

Kerry Cross Country Results
The final day of the cross country was held on Sunday 1st Nov with great success.While the weather was bad we managed to pick up 48 points and this led to St Brendans AC finishing on 253 points with a commanding lead of 65 points over Gneeveguilla in second to win the Kerry Juvenile Cross Country title for the first time with Orlaith Casey team captain receiving the trophy..This means in 2009 we hold the Juvenile sportshall,track and field and cross country titles among others which is a huge achievement.The club had three winners on the day in Stephen Walsh in the Junior mens 6km,Caoimhe Casey in the Junior womens 3km and the boys u11 relay team.There will be a victory party organised for all juvenile cross country runners during the week.

The Even Age event was held by us in Banna East on Sunday last with great success.We had fantastic weather on a fantastic course and this led to St Brendans AC finishing on 115 points after day way with a commanding lead of nearly 60 points over Gneeveguilla in second.The club had two winners on the day in Dara Lowth in the u10 600m and David Hogan in the u18 boys 5km.Other athletes to medal included Fiachra Ennis 2nd boys u10,Eoghan McElligott 5th boys u12,Ciara Jeffers 5th girls u12,Dylan Carey 3rd boys u16,Stephen Walsh 2nd,PJ galvin 3rd and Adrian Buckley 4th all in the u18 5km and Caoimhe Casey 2nd in the novice women.Well done to Shane Lowth and Noreen Gentleman who finished outside the medals.The following are the even more important team event results-

National League Round 1 Cork Sunday 14th June
The first round of the National Mens and womens track and field league were held in Cork yesterday with Kerry Senior teams competing for the first time in both.Even though both teams are relatively young with more juveniles than seniors after day one both the mens and womens team lead division one with 108 points and 115 points respectively.
4x400m team finishing second with a team that included Luke O Keeffe,Shane Delaney also competed in the Javelin
The Womens team went one better with 7 wins,4 seconds and 4 thirds to score.Ailbhe Courtney finished first in the triple jump and second in the high jump and for good measure was also fourth in the 400 hurdles.The 4x100m relay team that won with Emma Leenas part of the team.Seven points came from Caoimhe Casey in the 1500m walk even though she was up against olympian Olive Loughnane from Galway. Emma Leen also competed in the shot Shot and 100m hurdles.

Munster Inter County Cross Country Relays Dungarven Sun 18th Jan
Well Done to Shane Lowth, Dara Lowth and Eoin Mcgelligott who ran on Sunday, Shane was in the U12 Team who came fist and will run again in Boyle Co Roscommon next weekend in the All Ireland finals, good luck to you. Congratulations to Eoghan Courtney, Daniel Shanahan and Jack O'Regan who won their U15boys relay at the county unevenage relays in Cahirsiveen on Sunday. Fionnan Mackessey, Eoin McElligott, Iarla Courtney, Christopher Heffernan took second place in the U11 boys.Also running were Colm Austen O'Sullivan, Fionn Kavannagh, Quinn Newsome McDonnell, Thomas Nolan, Zoe Newsome Mcdonnell, Rachel O'Mahoney, Orla O'Shea, Ella Horgan, James Lyne, Connor Slattery, and Dylan Carey.

Munster Cross Country Day 2, Cooraclare, Clare
Well done to Dara Lowth, Seamus Leen, Fionnan Mackessey, Eoghan McElligott, Christopher Heffernan who competed in the Munster Cross Country competition in Clare at the weekend, Fionnan, Eoghan and Christopher were part of the Kerry Boys U11 team who took 3rd place. This Sunday there is cross country relays in Cahersiveen starting at 12 noon, cars will leave medical centre at 10.30.
